Faithful Citizenship

The Mission of the Faithful Citizenship Committee of St. Patrick's Parish is...

"Catholic social teaching strongly promotes active citizenship. Through our opportunities as citizens, we can help shape a world more committed to protecting human life and dignity and promoting justice and peace."

       ~US Council of Catholic Bishops

The purpose of the Faithful Citizenship Committee of St. Patrick's Parish is to promote an understanding of Catholic Social Teaching within our parish community, and to encourage our parishioners to implement these principles in their civic life as voters and advocates.

This includes:
  • educate parishioners on the key themes of Catholic Social Teaching.
  • encourage parishioners to be informed participants in political and civic activities
  • promote the application of our Catholic values in the moral and human aspects of public issues
  • integrate faithful citizenship into our parish life through collaboration with parish ministries and organizations.
