The Parish Finance Council is an advisory body whose purpose it is to analyze the financial activities of the parish, assist in the preparation of the annual budget, monitor compliance with the annual budget, review quarterly financial reports, and review the financial importance of the mission and ministry of the parish as established by the pastor. Canon Law of the Catholic Church requires that every Catholic parish have a Finance Council. The pastor is responsible for assembling people to serve on the Finance Council.
