The Harvest Vocation Ministry
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
-Matthew 9:35-38
The Vocation Ministry at St. Patrick Church is called The Harvest. Our purpose is to create a culture of vocations by helping parishioners discern God’s will for their personal vocation. We believe that if we create an environment at St. Patrick Church where young people can hear God’s call, the Holy Spirit will do the rest.
A personal vocation is what God calls you to do with your life. All vocations bring us to a fuller realization of the great commandments, to love the Lord our God, and to love our neighbor.
Bishop Libasci asked each parish to establish a team who will ensure that we create a vocation-friendly community; an environment that supports and enables young men and women to hear the call to vocations:
Priesthood
Religious Life
Married Life
Single Life of Service
We do this through Prayer, Education and Awareness, Youth, and Affirmation.
Will you consider joining us as a “laborer” in preparing for the “Harvest” by helping young people in our parish hear the call? By being a part of this effort that helps young people to discover and ultimately follow their vocation gives the greatest glory and praise to God! Any parishioners who are interested in helping with this initiative is encouraged to email the Team at stpatsharvestteam@gmail.com.
